Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking Deposits

For bookings made in excess of 60 days prior to departure date, a 25% deposit is payable immediately upon the booking confirmation. The balance is payable 60 days prior to your date of arrival. For bookings made less than 60 days prior to your arrival date, full payment is required at time of booking.

For special promotions or offers, we may require a 50% deposit or payment in full upon booking. These conditions will be highlighted within the promotional campaign and will override our standard deposit terms.

Scheduled Trips

Certain advertised hosted adventures require minimum angler numbers for the adventure to take place. If minimum numbers are not met, or if other participants booked onto the trip cancel, additional costs may need to be covered by the remaining anglers for the trip to proceed. Guests booked onto an Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures hosted trip which is dependent on full participation to proceed, are not eligible for any full or partial refunds or credits if the Participant(s) withdraws or cancels their booking.

Price Changes

Fluctuations in economic conditions, exchange rates, natural disasters or any other unforeseen events outside the control of Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures may cause price increases in the various adventure packages available. Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures will endeavor to maintain prices at the level at which they were quoted and/or booked, but reserve the right to adjust prices up to the departure date if unforeseen circumstances arise. Any such price adjustment will be notified to the traveler to be paid in full before departure.

Itinerary Changes

Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures reserve the right to cancel an adventure at any time in the event of adverse weather conditions, safety risks, equipment failure or other reasonable and unforeseen circumstances. In the event where weather conditions, safety risks, equipment failure force the cancellation of fishing days or your stay, a refund will not be available. Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures will provide a credit for the value of lost days which can be utilized at another suitable time.

Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Canceling your booking will incur a loss of your deposit. If a cancellation is made where full payment has been received, a credit will be provided to enable you to reschedule for another time. It is advisable to take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any losses incurred by unforeseen cancellation.

Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures will not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage incurred or suffered by the participant during the fishing adventure, or in the event the adventure is canceled or postponed for any reason whatsoever. If you fail to show at the booked time, or on the booked day of your fishing adventure we cannot offer a refund or credit. An administration fee of $130 is applicable for any changes to confirmed bookings.

Lost activities, pre-booked accommodation, flights, meals, transfer services and canceled programs due to an unforeseen cancellation, weather or any unforeseen circumstance will not be refundable entirely or in part. The Participant(s) acknowledge this risk and it is their responsibility to take appropriate Travel Insurance if they wish to claim these expenses. A refund is not available for any cancellations made after the departure date or in respect of any accommodation, meals, tours or any other services that are not utilized. In addition, no hotel, ground operator or airline is authorized to make representations or offer refunds on behalf of Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures without our prior authority.

Travel Insurance

Most events which cause distress to travelers can be insured against and we strongly advise the purchase of a suitable travel insurance policy. Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures strongly advises purchasing travel insurance to protect against loss caused by overseas medical & hospital expenses, stolen & lost luggage, trip and activity cancellations, flight delays, evacuation and more.

Acknowledgement of Risk

The Participant acknowledges and agrees that, upon booking an adventure with Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures, all Participants have read and agree to this Acknowledgement of Risk, wherein the Participant(s) release(s) Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures from any liability with respect to any injuries, loss or damages which may be sustained by the Participant (s) in the course of undertaking a fishing adventure, whether dangerous, hazardous or otherwise.

The Participant warrants that he/she does not suffer from any Medical Condition and/ or incapacity which may impair the Participants ability to participate in Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures’ adventures and further, that the Participant does not suffer from any Heart Condition, Epilepsy or other Medical Condition which may result in the Participant potentially placing himself/ herself in a position of risk, by undertaking adventures booked with Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures.

The Participant pledges that no legal action will be initiated by it against Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures, its clients, its agents, employees, instructors, and/or personnel, due to any accident or injury sustained during the course of undertaking an adventure booked through Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures.

The Participant(s) unconditionally agree to fully indemnify Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures and all its servants, agents, clients and employees against any injury, damage or accident that may be sustained by the Participant(s), whilst participating in adventures booked through Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures or the Entities and Groups who offer various services to Ocean Blue Fishing Adventures. These conditions also apply to adventures won as prizes.

By paying your deposit, we understand you have read and agree with the terms and conditions outlined above.
