Looking for a new fishing boat is hard. There are so many available options, so how do you choose? The first step is finding reputable brands producing boats that fit your needs. Bayliner has been in the industry for years and is well-known for producing quality fishing boats. Their latest entry in the Trophy series is no different, helping anglers get out on the water with room for friends or family!
Bayliner Trophy T24CC
Bayliner revived the Trophy series in 2020, and the latest versions are refreshed for 2022. The T24CC comes in at 24 feet long, sporting several outboard engine options up to 300 horsepower. Bayliner offers customisation options for those looking for something beyond the stock experience.
Whether you’ve experienced a Bayliner Trophy boat in the past or not, the new T24CC is sure to impress. Entry-level anglers and those looking for an affordable option to get them out on the water would be remiss to overlook the Trophy!
Spacious Fishing
Finding a boat that fits your needs isn’t always easy. A common concern is the number of people that can fit on the craft. For anglers wanting room for family or friends, space is a priority.
The far beam-forward and U-shape at the front of the boat provide plenty of room for guests. Whether it’s a relaxing day on the lake or gunning for the big catch, the Trophy T24CC offers room for 12 people. Such a large party might normally feel cramped on a boat this size, but the Trophy’s design makes space for everyone!
If you’re looking for a boat to get you out with your crew, the Bayliner Trophy boat is the one for you! The base model starts out at around $62,000, though there are additional options that can add to the price.
18 Degree V-Rise Hull
Those who rode on Bayliner models of yesteryear may praise their stability. However, those who wanted to range a bit further out of coastal waters encountered the limitations of the hull design. Bayliner’s previous Trophy was sluggish and choppy in the higher seas, struggling to cut through the stiffer waves.
This flaw has been rectified in the latest model, as the new V-shaped hull slices through the waves with ease. Thankfully, this unique design doesn’t sacrifice stability, as the T24CC is still balanced while floating still.
The V-shaped hull is a step away from Bayliner’s Element design and M style hull. Although the former provides better stability, it suffers greatly in choppy water.
Bayliner Trophy Features
The Bayliner Trophy is excellent for anglers and enthusiasts looking for a near-shore centre console boat. Bayliner has packed the boat with plenty of standout features suiting it for a day out on the water.
Self-Bailing Cockpit
Thanks to the deep V-hull, water intrusion on the deck is rare. However, in the event it does occur, the cockpit is self-bailing. This helps ensure a dry and safe deck while out on the water.
Fold-Away Rear Bench
Though the front of the boat offers plenty of seating, a fold-away bench in the rear provides additional rest. There’s plenty of sitting space for a family afternoon or a fishing day with friends.
T-Top
The Bayliner Trophy comes with a canvas T-top to keep the sun away. Bayliner also offers the option to upgrade the cover to hard fibreglass. The hardtop option can also be upgraded to include exterior lighting.
The rockets are snap-on instead of welded to improve affordability. This is a small change, but it is noticeable.
Ample Fishing Space
Another standout feature on a boat of this size is the ample fishing room. The Bayliner Trophy has both a fore and aft fishing deck, providing anglers room to select a position or bring friends along.
Bayliner advertises that the T24CC can hold up to 12 individuals at once and includes plenty of seats. If you’d rather go swimming, the rear benches fold up to allow access to the water.
Outboard Motor
The stock engine option is a 225 horsepower Mercury four-stroke. Bayliner includes options for a 250 horsepower and even a 300 horsepower V8 Mercury for anglers who want a little more oomph.
The boat comes with a 100-gallon fuel capacity to power the motor and dual batteries with a switch. There’s also an upgrade option for a trolling engine.
Baitwell and Fish Boxes
No fishing boat is complete without a way to store your catch! The Bayliner Trophy comes with a standard 15-gallon baitwell/livewell. It also includes two insulated fish boxes. You can spend a whole day out on the water between the baitwell and the fish boxes!
Other Features
Though not standard, Bayliner’s newest boat model comes with an upgrade for a ski tow pylon. Though the boat is primarily designed around fishing, nothing stops you from enjoying a fun day of water skiing!
The Trophy comes with standard fishing rod storage under the gunwales. There’s also a smattering of rod holders along the deck’s edges. Both features provide you with peace of mind and a secure spot for your fishing rods.
If these features weren’t enough, Bayliner includes an upgrade option for an AM/FM radio system with Bluetooth capability. You can’t go wrong with this upgrade if listening to your favourite tunes while out for a trip is important.
The rounded, beam-forward foredeck is super roomy for a boat of this size, providing ample room for casting or sitting. All of the seating cushions are removable for both storage and transportation.
