Daiwa has grown to be one of the most popular and trusted fishing tackle brands in the world. Specializing in durable and reliable reels, the latest gear from Daiwa has exceeded expectations. Daiwa has released two new reels, a new Tatula baitcaster and an even more durable TD Sol.
What Is New with Daiwa?
Daiwa is known for making some of the best fishing gear in the industry. The new Daiwa fishing reels take this to another level with the release of the compact and light Tatula SV TW70 baitcaster and the new and improved TD Sol MQ that features Daiwa’s latest MQ technology.
While the TD Sol MQ is a great upgrade to the TD Sol, the new Tatula SV TW70 is the latest addition to the Daiwa baitcaster reels.
Tatula SV TW70
The Tatula SV TW70 combines Daiwa’s latest technologies to create a durable and lightweight baitcaster. As the smallest and lightest baitcaster in Daiwa’s range, here are some of the most impressive new features on the new Tatula SV TW70.
Aluminium Body
Daiwa decided to design the body of the new baitcaster out of aluminium to help reduce weight without sacrificing durability. They also included corrosion-resistant ball bearings to help keep the reel protected from the elements.
HYPERDRIVE Digigear
The new Tatula features Daiwa’s latest Hyper technology. This includes the Hyper Armed Housing and HYPERDRIVE Digigear for a smoother and stronger reeling sensation. This allows the reel to be around 60% more durable.

TD Sol MQ
The TD Sol MQ builds on the legendary reputation of the TD Sol but upgrades the reel to include Daiwa’s latest MQ technology. This makes it one of the most durable Daiwa reels available. Here are the top new features of the new TD Sol MQ.
Monocoque Daiwa Reels
The new TD Sol reel comes with a monocoque, one-piece design. This single body utilises a screw-in engine to reduce flex and twist under load. This helps make the reel stronger while remaining compact and sealed.
MagSeal
The new reel is also made from Daiwa’s resin and carbon material, Zaion V. This material is then also Magsealed to keep everything dust, water, and salt resistant.
