The wahoo season just hotted up with Yellowfin and blue marlin also keeping smiles on happy anglers faces . Though the weather has not been perfect, the fishing has made up for the grey skies. Nothing seemed to stop our guests from experiencing some great fishing this past week.

The yellowfin are still pounding the pavement in good numbers. What was noticeable was the fish this week were bigger. Guide Eric Puyo Festa put his guests onto not one, two, three, or even four but five yellowfin each weighing over 70kg! These yellowfin were caught on topwater including a triple hookup. Nothing better than 3 monster fin smashing stick baits and poppers on the surface all at once.

When targeting pelagics on top water you would never think  of a blue marlin as by catch. Quite often billfish come up wanting to suck down a popper or stick bait while targeting species like yellowfin and wahoo. Another 110kg blue marlin succumbed to this temptation this week put a big smile on the face of the lucky angler.
