Angling Angel – Fishing with Luiza
Luiza developed her love for the ocean and fishing very early in her life when her grandparents brought her out on her first fishing trip. Now a Florida native, Luiza resides in one of the best places on Earth for fishing, spearfishing, and scuba diving! She also travels the world doing what she loves and “living the dream”!
Luiza has made the cover of numerous fishing magazines including GAFF magazine, Onshore Offshore, Woods & Water, Coastal Angler & Big Game Fishing Journal. She has also written & has been featured in various fishing magazine articles over the past several years. Luiza is a proud member of the CCA, Coastal Conservation Association, and also fishes tournaments throughout Florida & other exotic locations around the world.
Fishing is her passion and we’re happy that she’s here to share her experiences with all of us as she travels the world living the dream!
Jigging and Bottom Bashing in Florida
Living in tropical Florida has its perks. Year-round fishing opportunities in one of the world’s best sport fisheries, Luiza and friends make good use of the great weather and fishery.
In this video, Luiza starts the day off by catching live bait for their bottom fishing session later in the afternoon.
They use Sabiki Rigs to catch live bait and fill up their livewell fast.
Once the skipper sounds over a good location, they drop anchor and start the day with some jigging.
The amberjack were hungry and kept the rods bent and the anglers happy.
Once the jig bite slowed down, they dropped live baits on Carolina rigs to target grouper.
Legal-size limit fish were kept and released the rest, making everyone excited for the dinner ahead!
