Scout boats have come a long way. From humble beginnings of hand laying fibreglass to build their boats in 1989 to building the self-proclaimed “Mega Center Console”. Now, the Scout 530 LXF blows away all expectations when it comes to a centre console.
Scout 530 LXF: Epoxy Hull Build
The first thing you’ll notice about the Scout 530 LXF is the fantastically-built 53-foot hull. Scout has borrowed a technique from aerospace engineering to create one of the most effective hulls you’ll find on the water.
The epoxy infusion utilising the carbon fibre/E-glass process improves the Scout 530 LXF in countless ways. Providing a rigid hull, the process also gives a lower overall weight. You’ll also find the safety and stability of this model to be higher than the industry average.
You can find this build on the 38- to 53-foot hulls, with plenty of outboard motor room. Scout has also used this for the 33 and 35 feet models. Additionally, you can choose between four and five engine configurations to a maximum of 2,250 horsepower.
Scout 530 LXF is Fit for Fishing
What good is a luxury fishing boat if you don’t know about the fishing features! Scout has ensured that this isn’t just a flashy luxurious boat for cruising the bay. As far as fishing features go, you’ll find few boats better equipped.
Seven shotgun rod holders are located across the transom, with more in the cockpit gunwales. Two 30-gallon livewells are located in the aft cockpit, which is where you’ll want to focus your fishing. Electric reel plugs and articulating rocket launchers give you plenty of options for your rods.
Among the customisation options is the new flybridge, which works as a high-tech “tuna tower.” At a higher angle, you’ll have much better luck spotting fish – though you likely won’t need to with the optional Garmin B175L/H Transducers. Paired with a GSD Sounder, you have the option of furthering your equipment to an additional GMR 424 XHD2 Marine Open Array Radar.
What You Need to Know
Beyond the excellent hull and the fantastic fishing features, there’s still plenty to see. However, the pride and joy of the Scout 530 LXF is the centre console, which many have described as a masterpiece. After two years in development, this “mega centre console” provides you with a great deal of entertainment and fishing options.
With a 24-inch MFD touchscreen and a 12-inch touchscreen in the overhead helm, you have plenty of display space. The “digital helm” is complete with a Garmin Remote Interface Device, allowing you to access all screens for easy navigation and use. These screens are encased in seamless glass bezels for a modern technological touch.
You also will enjoy the adequate deck space for entertainment. Whether you’re holding a fishing tournament or bringing your seaworthy friends out for a party, there’s no shortage of entertainment options.
The Scout 530 LXF is a top-of-the-line luxury fishing boat that provides you with room for anything and everything you could need. Providing customisation options for both sport and luxury, you can fine-tune this vessel to your desires. You’ll enjoy comfort and safety on the water in your luxury game fishing boat.
