Valhalla Boatworks might be the new boatbuilder on the dock but, since launching in 2019, it’s become a major player in the luxury center console market. After wowing us all with the V-41, the Viking Yacht Company has somehow done it again with the next chapter of Valhalla Boatworks’ V Series, the V-46. How does this fishing powerhouse stack up? Let’s find out!
Valhalla Boatworks V-46
Valhalla Boatworks‘ first three models have made a big initial impact, but some customers requested even more features. Sleeping quarters, air-conditioning, a generator, a full head with shower, and additional seating have all been added, with some additional size included to fit it all in.
The V-46 is the company’s largest in the lineup to date, with a significant length of 46′ 7″ (14.23 m). The beam of 13′ 4″ (4.1 m) allows for a spacious console that functions as an air-conditioned cabin. All this while still maintaining traditional, 360-degree fishability.

Built for Speed and Maneuverability
While the V-46 might not be the largest center console on the market, it’s certainly up there when it comes to performance. The V-46 is an outboard-powered center console that can be fitted with quad Mercury Verado 400s, quad Mercury V8 450Rs, and either triple or quad configurations of the Mercury Verado V12 600-HP outboards.
You can expect great fuel efficiency, acceleration, and speed, no matter which you choose. Wondering how fast it actually goes? Think a 50-knot cruise and a 70+ knot top speed.
The multi-award-winning Michael Peters Yacht Design is responsible for its stellar performance. Design traits such as double chines, an S-shaped sheer, and a deep-v hull shape with double steps result in a smoother ride, reduced drag, and incredible maneuverability.

Built for Fishing But Ideal for Socialising
From bow to stern, the seating options on the V-46 are plentiful. We’re talking Costa Marine bench seating at the helm, a second row of four seats for crew or guests, and the aft-facing mezzanine seating that made a mark on the first three Valhalla Boatworks V-series models.
The second row is elevated a further three inches with a footrest area for enhanced comfort and visibility. A three-person lounge is integrated into the console with a leg-elevating design and folding armrests. Plus, there’s a two-person seat in the lounge’s forward section.
The V-46 uses every foot of space available for convenience, safety, and purpose, and manages to do it all with style. It’s not just a hard-core fishing boat but also a fun sport cruiser built with socializing in mind.
Fishability
Even though the concept from day dot was luxury and comfort, they didn’t leave out any needs you have to catch any of the species you may be chasing offshore. This beast includes 5 insulated fish boxes for all your storage needs coupled, dual 55 gallon (208 L) live wells, and state of the art Gemlux outriggers along with plenty more options that can be integrated into your build. The 360 degree walk-around that the center console offers makes this ultimately an angler’s luxury dreamboat.
